Happy Couple from Calgary

WE WILL DEFINITELY BE RETURNING! I hope to book up the whole place with friends in a few years – for my 30th!

Jube, Debra, Boston, June, and David everybody was wonderful and made us feel completely at home and welcome. We felt like we got to know a little bit of the real Jamaica. We enjoyed our days of stress-free nothingness – just soaking up the good vibes that Tingalayas had to offer. We snorkeled off the cliffs everyday…which was so neat! And the food, where do I begin with Jube’s cooking – amazing! And the hammocks, wow, I am not much of a napper, but enjoyed more than a few in those hammocks. I added to the library and enjoyed a few books from there while I was down (great idea). The bikes are a great touch as we used them almost every day to get our patties and rum! David was so hospitable and so glad we could strike a friendship.

A Group of Ten from Chicago Celebrates

Dear Lisa:

I just wanted to email you to say that our stay at Tingalayas Retreat was wonderful. It was everything I had hoped for my husband's 50th birthday celebration! Planning a trip for 10 people can be challenging, but from the very beginning you made me feel like I had chosen the right place. Every time I emailed you with a question, you supplied a prompt response. Booking over the internet without any real guarantees can be scary and with you, I always felt that I would not be let down! As soon as I passed through your red wooden gate, I knew that I was going to be very happy at Tingalayas Retreat!

The property itself is great- peaceful, relaxing and probably the best swimming I have ever experienced right from the privacy of our own patio. The caretaker,Jube is a real gem of a man and so is Boss, your other employee. They took great care of us, introducing us to their native foods and looking out for us. Our whole group really bonded with them and we all just hung out, relaxing, cooking, swimming and watching the gorgeous sunsets!

You have done a great job making all the houses cozy and unique and the tropical landscape is beautiful. We loved where you are situated on such a quiet part of the road and we took several bike rides in both directions. We all felt very safe having Jube's watchful eyes on everything. I know that we picked the absolute best place to stay in Negril and I know that all of us want to come back!

SOUL REBELLION

Tingalayas Retreat is proud to be a sponsor of Soul Rebellion
"Soul Rebellion was founded in March of 2006, developed as a response to the typical and generic spring break experience. We promise to deliver something different - something that would function as an engine of social transformation and cultural awareness. Something that would make a difference, that spoke about heritage while looking to the future. Something dynamic, something that reflected an authentic Jamaican experience."

You could call it responsible Spring Breaking! Alongside the music, the sun and the fun
there is an opportunity to contribute and help build the Jamaican educational system.
We all know children are the future of any society and educated children build stronger communities.

Happy Visitors From Illinois-February 2010

Lisa

Just wanted to let you know how much my husband and I enjoyed our stay at Tingalayas! We've been going to Negril for over nine years now, and this was THE BEST vacation we ever enjoyed there. I can't say enough about everything from the accomodations to the peace and quiet.
Jube is the the most fantastic host who was willing to help out with whatever we had planned and even suggested stuff for us to do. I loved the Jamaican cooking lessons he gave me!! Now if I could only find ackee here stateside! He is one of the nicest Jamaicans we have ever met. You have a gem in that man!
We will definitely be returning!

Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with us!
