April Wedding at Tingalayas

Magical

From the moment we arrived at Tingalayas it was heaven. The property is beautiful. The plants, the water, the rocks, the rooms, everything was perfect. The caretaker, Jube, was the coolest/nicest person ever. Anything we needed Jube could provide. It was very nice how private and secluded everything was. The snorkeling was great! It was the perfect spot for my wedding. Tingalayas has it all! Fire pit, gazebo, sandy beach, patio into the rocks. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Negril and hope to visit again very soon! Thank you Tingalayas for making my wedding and vacation the best time I've ever had.

"Spectacular Stay"

My recent vacation to Negril was made perfect by Tingalayas. Truly a relaxing vacation! We ate delicious, healthy food prepared by Jube and Maria, our new lifelong friends. We swam and snorkeled in the most beautiful water off the property's private cliffs. We partied and had a blast all in our little private paradise--Tingalayas. Please don't change a thing! You've got a jewel in this place! Favorite...vacation...ever.

Our group of family and friends had the best vacation/wedding ever! All of the staff was very pleasant and made it easy to feel like you were at home. I highly recommend this spot for any type of function. It is in a great location and has the best views ever! We will definitely be back!!!

Great place to stay

well what can you say about a place where you can actually be with the people and culture, Jube the resident Rasta who I have known and consider a brother for over 28 years was a great host and a true spirit he will go out of his way to help , and I wont even have to say any thing about his cooking (if you know Peter) Its a great place and location on the cliffs where you are able to get a feel of Jamaica. Tingalayas is the real deal it is a place that the cliffs needed Bravo. If you looking for a down to earth place to stay you might not ever want to leave. I give it 4 stars its not to be missed. safe and secure absolutely

"Beauty and Peace converge at Tingalayas..."

Tingalayas is a special gem tucked away in Negril's West End. My room was exactly as pictured and was outfitted with personal touches I wouldn't have found at mainstream/chain hotels. The staff was very supportive and assisted me with everything I needed. The only bummer was not being able to swim in the ocean fed pool b/c I hadn't anticipated low tide affecting the pool's water level. Jube is an amazing cook. There is no need to seek out meals elsewhere. During my stay I met a couple who said they were on their 5th visit. They assured me the place gets more beautiful each time. I've since recommended the place to a friend for a wedding/honeymoon one-stop.

Ali And Evan From Portland say:

Dear Lisa,

We are just settling back home in Portland after what can only be described as a magical stay at Tingalayas. We cannot thank you enough for accommodating us and opening up your sanctuary to guests. We had a wonderful stay from beginning to end, and found our time in the West End and Tingalayas to be the highlight of our vacation in Jamaica. In fact, we found ourselves not only wishing we stayed longer, but already looking forward to our next visit. Jube and Maria were wonderful hosts; we felt obliged to be in their company, and as chefs, honored to be able to taste some of their delicious cooking and share with them, some of ours. Whether dining on ackee fruit and scotch bonnet pepper sauce in the morning, or taking in a sunset and goat walk from your terraced oceanfront property, the entire experience felt completely unspoiled. In many ways, we felt our stay was meant to be. We felt an immediate connection with Jube, the other guests and the land, and it was an honor being part of the Tingalayas experience.

Ali and Evan came from Portland, Oregon where they live creatively, cooking all the while.
